Anyone take zolmitriptan for migraines?

It really helps with them, if I take one and get in bed, lights off and try to sleep I usually wake up 95% better and can avoid a full day of migraine vomitting etc

But I feel so weird after taking it. I feel hot and sweaty. A little tight chested and just hot all over.

It lists them as normal side effects.

Yes, common. I get tightness across the neck and throat and because I use the Sala spray version, I also get numbness through the nasal cavities and back of my throat.

Not nice, but a necessary evil - unless a different triptan would suit you better?

Yes. I had this worse with sumatriptan so zolmitriptan is better. I try to take a half then I don’t get those symptoms. Big but is that I have to get it really early or half isn’t enough obviously

That is what I have been doing. Ripping a 2.5mg dissolvable tab in half.

It makes me feel horrid but its 30 mins of that or 8 hours of a migraine.
