Bought from vinted seller in US. Will I have to pay customs charges?

As the title says, I bought something for DS on vinted. Just a cheap thing, less than a tenner. I’ve just noticed that the seller’s in the US. Am i likely to be haves with customs charges? Any experiences with this? I’m wondering whether to cancel the order…

No, I've bought lots of things from the US on vinted, most expensive about fifty pounds, haven't ever been charged customs. Cheap postage too.

Yes! Postage was £2.99. That’s reassuring. Thank you.

Not something cheap, no. I was astonished how quickly my parcel came. I don't know about something expensive, but to be honest most things on there aren't in that category.

No. I've bought US items and no charge.

That’s good to know. I was expecting it to take ages.

No, I bought a dress and no charges and I think it took just under 2 weea to arrive. And postage was the same as the UK.

No, you pay import duty of something over a certain price, it’s over £100 but I can’t remember how much over £100 and I’m pretty sure that doesn’t include shipping. I’ve bought quite a lot from the USA and only paid import duty once, otherwise never had to pay. FedEx usually takes between 5-10 working days to arrive.

Thanks everyone. It came quickly and nothing to pay!

I never have on standard cheap vinted items. Always arrive fairly fast too.
