Anyone else struggling to make close friends in their late twenties?

I feel like I had a relatively normal social life throughout my school years, but as they often do, my teenaged friendships just didn't go the distance. I'm no longer in contact with ANY of the friends I had at either of the schools I went to, mostly because I don't use social media (unless MN counts?!).
The last time I had someone that was a real friend was perhaps around 3/4 years ago, she suffered terribly with BPD which made it extremely difficult to maintain a friendship with her; no ones fault, but that's just the way it goes.

I'm in my late twenties (27) now, and I'm absolutely desperate to have a real friend. A proper bestfriend that I can share stuff with, make memories, and do things with, but I have absolutely no bloody clue how to go about it at this age.

What are your experiences with friendships?

This probably sounds so sad haha, would love to know that I'm not the only one 😅💕

Did you go to uni?
My closest friends are from sixth form
one from uni
2 from last workplaces
2 from NCT (14 years ago!)
2 from school gate (8 years ago)

Social media has been utterly irrelevant in my close friendships
