looking at the K3 model for my toddler
https://kidsnav.com/product/kidsnav-k3/

i know it’s early for her age but I spoke to them and they mentioned it has what I wanted in it..

I.E.
GPS tracking
Can apparently listen if ever need to what’s going on around child if ever need to via the app
Has less of the apps on it, none of the apps the older range models have.

It is for my daughter to wear so I know she’s safe, where she is exactly when with childcare person (nanny) - nanny will be aware she is wearing it they are happy with that.
daughter has previously worn an Apple tag on a watch wrist holder type band and been fine with that.

Daughters quite advanced for her age and she already knows 999 is who she calls for example if ever (and I let her know she would never likely ever need to do that) an emergency at home (it is just her and I). But she knows the basics of her name, date of birth, area she lives. My proper name (full name not just mummy etc), how old I am.

I believe this model you can set who the emergency contact would be, it would be a close friend. I’m hoping you can set it to that rather than 999.

But she’s very sensible.

It’s more for peace of mind for me and because we had a rogue nanny before who wasn’t honest where they were going and some huge other safety issues.

It’s just for peace of mind. But also I guess. The other option I can enable on this model apparently is she can call me. And I can call her. Don’t really want to do that, as time away when she’s out is busy time getting work and life admin. But it comes with this model so c’est la vies.

Would be great to get anyone’s feedback on this model. Or just the watches in general on accuracy of location unlike Apple tags which are useless.

If I didn’t trust the adult looking after my child I would pit her in a nursery where there are more adults and it’s a more controlled and regulated environment rather than attempt to listen in to conversations with a watch.

I had a bad experience prior with a rogue nanny.

new one came with good recommendations

daughters safety will always be a priority whether she’s with me or with another out and about

We’re about to have a travel trip and a home move from one end of country to the other (new) nanny is helping during this time. And nursery for LO starts end of Sept. Early Oct, when we’ve reached the other side of these two things. So yep, she is going to nursery. All good on that front. But I’ll still use the watch in the future as she ages, when at Disney world, travel, out in London. It will grow with her.

But it will also have the emergency call option. Which is useful even at home, if ever god forbid something happened.

Her godparents are getting it for her as a present, so I’m not going to say no. It has a lot of little benefits for many life situations
