Mine are fine but could do with better arch support.
Not seen any wet pavement for a long time though.

Yes! They are a bit slippy. But as pp said no rain for months… I do like them but I prob would wear something else on rainy day (if we ever have one again)

Lot of mesh on the M&S version so not designed for wet pavements. More a summer fashion shoe

Leather Side Detail Trainers by M&S are similar to the ones I have, and they're from last year.

There’s a 1star review “Deadly in wet weather”

botanics · 18/08/2026 12:44

They aren't ideal when it's wet I agree. But other than that I really like them and have had quite a few compliments on them!

JacknDiane · 19/08/2026 17:29

I wish id seen that review. Deadly is spot on. Im in Glasgow its pouring down right enough. I just walked home in them, its like walking on ice.

But theres no mesh in them.

None of those will help with this type of shoe or only trainers I’ve got some trainers like this

I suppose they sticking on the sand thing might work, but that would be a nuisance

Alfrescodisco · 19/08/2026 17:58

I don’t but I find new balances absolutely lethal in rain on smooth pavements too.

I was going to say this too, I dont have the m & s pair but find my new balances awful for slipping.
