Sky remote has disappeared in the living room and we cannot find it

DS got up first this morning and went downstairs and turned the tv on and was watching tv when I got up. He used the sky remote. Got him and other DS dressed and out for the day at holiday clubs. I worked from home and didn’t turn the tv on, it must’ve just turned itself off at some point. When DC got home could not find it anywhere. DS adamant he can’t remember what he did with it.

I’ve turned the downstairs upstairs down, moved the sofa, checked toy boxes, everywhere I can think of and we don’t have a massive living room. It won’t have gone upstairs as neither DS went upstairs this morning and I didn’t touch it. We don’t have one of those fancy buttons that you press and it beeps so I cannot understand where on earth it has gone. Any ideas??

You will just notice it randomly one day and it will be sitting out in plain sight and you will have no idea how you didn't see it.

I noticed ours sitting in the middle of the mantlepiece yesterday, I couldn't find it at all the day before and was certain I had looked everywhere.......

We have the same problem all the time. My Daughter thought she would try saying hello glass find remote control and it started beeping. It turns the TV on as well and then you can ask it to find remote control. I didn't think it would work but it was worth a try.

Still no sign of it. We used the app on our phones in the interim until the new one arrived this morning. We’ve gone for a pink colour so it can be more easily spotted lol. No doubt we’ll find the old one immediately now we’ve spent £30 on a new one.

I think all remotes should be bright colours.
