A neighbour and dog one

It's a tongue in cheek what would you do one.

You know your neighbour has a reactive dog, they supervise it in the garden, it goes out about 5 times during a day for toilet trips. You also own a dog and know that if you throw the ball for your dog it will set your neighbours dog off barking. Do you a) make sure to always throw the ball for your dog every time you spot the neighbours dog in the garden or b) wait five minutes until it's been out for a wee then throw the ball as many times as your dog would desire??

C) pay no mind to next doors dog. Throw the ball for my dog as many times as I like. We have a similar situation; next doors dog is not my problem.

OP, have you got the reactive dog?

Interested why you wouldn't wait for it to go back indoors?

Yep! It's fine generally but something about the ball being thrown down the garden and the dog running after rit that sets him off. We quite often have him on lead if we know the neighbours around for this reason

My neighbours dog is an absolute maniac, and if I gave it any more of my headspace than it already forcibly occupies with its manic barking to any or no sound, I would be doing myself a disservice. I made a decision long ago that it’s not my problem. If I had a rifle…

I've got a reactive dog too and I'm so grateful that people around us accommodate her quirky ways.
Sorry if your neighbour is a jerk.

I have a reactive dog. Our garden backs on to 3 houses, 1, no dogs 2, 1 non reactive dog 3, 2 reactive dogs. It’s hard and I feel very sorry for neighbours 1 and 2. I just call him in instantly.

Why should I? Your reactive dog is not my concern. My dog is my concern. Have you had it to a behaviourist?
