Reading about poor Haydyn Paniterre on X and there was a quote from her where she describes being on a yacht and basically brought to a cabin where a naked man was waiting for her.(she says she ran and hid). Shocking. My point though is this. There was much speculation about who the man was. (Rich, successful in his field) Someone asked Grok who it could be and it said "Based on circumstances and description I think xxxxx xxxx fits the description" (not going to say who is mentioned) Surely, without proof, or him being mentioned by her or others who were witnesses, this is potentially risking huge libel and defamation charges on X? And who will be liable? Musk presumably, but potentially others involved in programming? And even if Grok is getting information from other sources, if these are unreliable or malicious again could this make X liable for action? And is this the future? We've already seen how sm and tabloids have worked up witchunts on the basis of rumour, is AI going to add to it?

I think this is an area of law that is very much up in the air. I doubt Musk would be held personally liable, but xAI might. I'm sure the xAI user agreement is chock-full of limitations of liability but contract law doesn't supersede statute.

This kind of thing is inevitably going to lead to some absolutely massive lawsuits over the next few years until legislation comes in to regulate exactly what AIs can and cannot be held liable for.

It has been going around for ages about this 50 something male, does not take to much to guess who it might be (of course it might not).
I feel for Haydon she was very vunrable to start with and was very young when started acting,it seems Hollywood has let down a lot of its stars.
