Anyone ever successfully stopped a slug invasion?

Just as it says: my kitchen has recently become Mecca for slugs. I can cope with any other creature, but these slippery fuckers turn my stomach. I’ve filled holes and put down salt and they still keep coming. Slug pellets attract them. Any tips on getting rid?

Anyone who feels the need to tell me they’re harmless or good for hedgehogs or whatever, please don’t. I know that.

I put down those slug traps you put beer in. I put them around the outside of my house. I did have air vents though that were obvious entry points.

My previous home used to get slugs coming in the kitchen door.
I used to keep a line of salt across the entrance to the door on the patio slab outside. That used to be very effective .
Sorry no other suggestions and I see you have already put down salt.
I agree with you about slug pellets attracting the wee horrors.

Looking at this from another angle, can you trace the secton they're coming from/around most? When my Mum had them, she had a leak from washing machine (on wall behind toilet) and had quite a few around her toilet area. Apparently they like damp areas, so worth making sure you haven't got a leak. If you're on a water meter, that's the easiest way, as you can make sure it isn't move while no known use.

My last place had a problem with slugs inside. It was damp so whilst I used salt to deter, really I needed to deal with the damp problem. It was rented so I moved! I remember one morning I trod on one with bare feet, ewwwwww!

Thanks everyone - we had the kitchen redone last year and all the holes were blocked up, which seemed to stop the problem. They are coming under the units, which makes it difficult to see where they’re coming in.

I had this problem, had gaps under the kitchen unit which they used to slither through 🤢🐌

I blocked every hole with wire wool, you can get it from Asda or any hardware shop. They haven't got through it so far but I'm sure one will. It has worked well so far though.

Copper tape from the garden centre worked for me. I stuck a line of it across the entry points.

Thanks both! Not tried either of these.
