We are the driest spot in the UK in general, but obviously this year has been even worse.

Such a relief. Not much of it but it's a start. Longing to see things turn green again.

Longing for fire risk to reduce

It’s raining and I heard thunder too.

Im jealous of the thunder. Not sure we're going to get any of that.

I don’t think I saw lightning but it was definitely thunder.

Blimey, its already stopped.

I remember the heatwave of 1976. The day it rained, our teacher let us go outside and dance around in it- beautiful big raindrops.

We had 2 minutes of spitting earlier - I got so excited that I called my DH to tell him, despite him being out in it walking the dog!

We then got another 2 minutes of heavier spitting a few hours later.

Everything still looks dry outside though, can't wait for a really torrential downpour!! Although, I probably shouldn't wish it as our town floods really badly with every heavy rain downpour.

Yes unfortunately there will be flooding when it starts to rain normally again. The ground is too hard.

We had 18% chance at 1 and now it's dropped to 10.

Also longing for the fire risk to eff off.

We had about an hour of incredibly heavy rain around 9ish here and even my 11yr old gaming-obsessed DD came running into my bedroom “MUMMY! IT’S RAINING!!!!!!” 😁
