How long will it be until my bowels are normal following colonoscopy?

First colonoscopy today and I had the Plenvu two dose regimen, thankfully all clear. I’ve had some broth with noodles and a few water crackers. But I’m still opening my bowels somewhat frequently and it’s still just water. Any idea how long this will last?

I’ve had a couple of colonoscopies both with Plenvu and after the procedure was just watery and then took a day or two to get back to normal.

Glad you got an all clear though!

To confirm, the water crackers are something you have consumed or what you're passing?
From memory I think they say 48 hours until you're 'back on firmer ground ', I would recommend an electrolyte drink

Straightaway.
(I've had plenty.)

Everyone’s different, could be a couple of hours, couple of days or couple of weeks.

Thank you. Yes, I meant water crackers.

I’ll keep an eye and eat to my appetite over the coming days. Extremely grateful my colonoscopy was normal.

Mine was normal straight away after the colonoscopy. I had the last watery bowel movement before I got to the hospital.

24-48 hours

Same here. I’ve literally just had a colonoscopy today and I’ve been eating and drinking normally since - panini for lunch, normal dinner etc. Had a last tiny watery bowel movement shortly after the procedure and then nothing since. You might need to try and eat more carbs, give your stomach something to work on and bung you up a bit.

Normal straight away for me.
