Best ergonomic desk chair recommendations for hypermobility and back pain

Starting a remote job has left me dealing with major backaches from making do with a cheap folding chair. Because I am hypermobile, my body tends to ache and feel sore pretty easily. I am on the hunt for a solid ergonomic desk chair that actually works for hypermobile joints. I heard that the Herman Miller Aeron might not be the best choice for people like me, so I would love to hear your top recommendations for a good setup. Thanks so much for the help!

have you had a DSE assessment? I believe if you’re fully remote it’s a requirement. Either way up, if it’s for your work then they should be bearing the cost. If you’ve not had an assessment, so you need to push for one.

I have a Varier rocking kneeling chair. It lets/ makes me engage muscles without locking my joints, and gives me more feedback on position than a normal chair which I find very hard to sit comfortably on

I have an Orangebox Do which is boring, but comfortable and very adjustable. I didn’t like the Herman Miller Aeron as you can’t adjust the seat depth.

I’d be surprised if many with hypermobility could comfortably use a rocker/kneeling chair. Generally the principle is that you need back support with hyper mobile joints.

Agree that you need to push for a DSE assessment.
