Positives of MMU psych?

I missed my grades for my firm at the University of Manchester and also missed my insurance at
UCL, and it's really, really knocked my confidence. I had lots of extenuating circumstances throughout Year 13, and unfortunately those circumstances aren't going to just go away, so I don't really want to move out or commute to Liverpool, which was another Clearing offer I had. I've instead chosen to do Psychology at MMU, but I'm getting really stressed and insecure about the fact that it's not a Russell Group university. It hits especially hard because I've always been the "smart one" all my life, so this whole situation has made me question myself and my abilities.

I did psych at MMU (admittedly it was 25 years ago!). Also missed out on Manchester Uni and did feel quite wistful whenever I walked past it. How far were you off the grades you needed?

I think your mum posted this on WIWIKAU.
Quite the back story. Have you read the responses on there?

Can you afford to go to Liverpool to stay halls etc ? If so then you might enjoy being somewhere new. Liverpool is a fantastic university and city so give it a go if you can.

MMU have an excellent careers and employability service and the opportunities they offer their students are some of the best in the sector. I work at a rival university and I’m very jealous of their budget and investment in employability.
