Is it weird to go braless around teens/friends on holiday?

We're in Sotogrande for a week with my husband and our three teens It is roasting. I mean properly, unbearably hot. I've never sweated like this in my life under my bra, everywhere, it's honestly miserable. I keep sneaking off to the room every couple of hours just to strip off under the fan for five minutes so I don't lose my mind, then putting it all back on and going back out to be normal mum. It's exhausting and it's only day three. I'm in My Mid 40s and Slim

I'm seriously considering just going braless for the rest of the trip, probably in a long, loose maxi dress so it's not obvious and I'm comfortable rather than putting on a show. I'm not big chested, so it's not like I'd be flopping about, but yes, in this heat, nipples happen. That's just biology, not an invitation.

Meanwhile my husband has been shirtless in the garden since we landed and nobody's batted an eye. I know it's not really the same thing, breasts aren't sexual organs, they're just... mine, and I'm the one sweating through fabric for hours a day, but I can already feel the double standard sitting there.

My main hesitation is my teens. I don't want them to feel weird or embarrassed, teenagers are self-conscious enough as it is, and I don't want to be that mum ,We also have friends who drop by, sometimes in the evenings, and I'm not sure how I'd feel about that either

Would embarraas the teens - would avoid if pendulous and obvious -In my case I go bra less often but doubt anyone notices.

So much talk about breasts on MN right now. Of course it’s acceptable. It’s acceptable whether you’re slim or not slim, have larger breasts or smaller breasts. Wear something that makes you comfortable and if the teenagers have something to say perhaps ask them why they’re so bloody controlling.

I've got a high intolerance of women going round the streets - and in particular on public transport - in outfits quite frankly more suited for a beach. Virtually bare bums on bus or train seats makes me seriously disgusted.
However I don't see anything at all wrong or inappropriate in you going braless, especially wearing the type of dresses you propose to wear. Seems really sensible.

Depends on the material. I'm braless most of the time but i try to wear tops with a pattern that hides the nipples - i have very protruding nipples since breastfeeding. Or a thin scarf if it's too obvious.

But also noticed sometimes you can wear a bra but nipples can still poke out, what can you do!!

I'm similar, but find a tight-fitting camisole or men's undershirt can help provide additional, ahem, containment without feeling quite as miserable as a bra.

Emnrace the human body! I love it when people are in skimpy clothes and embracing there bodies.

A friend of mine has teens (one boy, one girl) and is happy to go topless on the beach when on holiday......... by comparison being braless seems easy!

A better solution though is clearly to suffer in the heat at home - its been awful here, I cant imagine paying to suffer it somewhere else.

I sometimes buy some cheap triangle bikini tops and wear them under dresses in place of bras on beach holidays. Might that be an option?
