What's a modern/fashionable style of bikini?

I reckon the one I have is c. 20 years old and I do still actually like it. While (ginger!) DC were small we didn't go on sunbathing holidays so it hasn't had that much wear.

It has bikini briefs with about 1.5 in fabric in the sides, is a bandau style with optional halterneck tie, underwiring and light padding.

I'm 56, but not looking for a matronly style. Neither do I want to look like I'm trying to be a teenager.

I'm 5'7, size 8/10, althletic, well toned, tiny boobs.

And completely clueless as to where to even start looking.

I really like the swimwear in decathlon, there's a lot of mix and match stuff - I like to get the little shorts and then a bikini top that's a bit like a crop top but smaller (I don't know the proper name).

Plus if you are going to France/Italy they have matching swim caps for the pool.

I have bought some fabulous triangle bikins from new look this year, cheap too

Nb - won’t matter for a toned size 8, but for anyone else it’s well worth scrolling through every photo of a garment to see how they perform on different bodies. The sucky-in capabilities are somewhat impressive.

I like Boden bikinis. The halter-neck one I have is solid enough to swim in and their bold prints work well on holiday.
