How to cover hair growth after post partum hair loss?

I have suffered a lot of post partum hair loss recently but it has now started to regrow, the problem is I have short spikey hair sticking up on end and it doesn’t look good.
How do people blend these shorter new hairs in when they grow in?
I like to wear a pony tail but these bits don’t reach.

I’ve had new hair growth recently and it won’t take long till it’s long enough to flop over rather than stick up. Although a lot longer till it’s ponytail length of course. In the meantime you could use a lightweight hair oil or some hairspray to smooth down the sticky up bits?

Thank you, I do try and stick them down a bit, it’s ok until the wind blows.

Some kind of headband maybe? Tbh my hair always looks a bit messy anyway so the flyaways aren’t that noticeable on me, I can see it’s different if your look is a sleek ponytail though.
