Broken wrist.
Need to take various meds and they are all in those foil blister packs.

They sell them on Amazon

I know, but wondered which one was best...

Use a small, pointed knife or a pencil to pierce the foil on the other side and it'll be easy to get them out one handed (you only need use index finger and thumb on one hand to stop the pack from moving).

What are they called please? I struggle to get at some of my pills using 2 hands because the pills are ridiculously small and the bubbles stupidly big.

Passwordsaremynemesis · 11/08/2026 11:04

Following, and my sympathies as I also have a broken wrist. I need this gadget, what is it?

RestingGrumpFace · 11/08/2026 11:07

I use one of these type. My pills are tiny and it's fiddly and needs 2 hands.

Can you ask the pharmacy to dispense into a bottle?

Thank you @RestingGrumpFace , I've ordered similar.
@Floatlikeafeather2 i googled" pill popper for one hand "
I expect chemists have them but there are a lot on Amazon. Watch out for long delivery dates.

@Passwordsaremynemesis lots of sympathy. It's my partner, which adds another layer of difficulty.
It's only when it happens that you realise the many things that need two hands !!
I've ordered a couple of plastic sleeves for protection when washing.
Our biggest problem is the sling !
It's a promedics one which i don't think has been put on correctly at the hospital.
Having seen the makers instructional video i am not surprised!

I told my husband that I hate my sling more than I hate Donald Trump and when I am done with it I am having a sling burning party! I have surgery tomorrow as my wrist has set incorrectly, wish me luck!

youalright · 12/08/2026 05:15

I can't advise on a good one but I bought one off shein and its shit so don't do that. Maybe they actually sell them in pharmacies

limetrees32 · 12/08/2026 06:39

I guess that will prolong the whole healing process.

I am struggling eating with one hand with certain food. I tried eating some noodles today and made a hell of a mess with my top. I have given up on tubs of yoghurt and bought squeeze ones instead. And I had to get my husband to cut up my steak. It’s a total pain! Might have to look into those high sided plates!

Did you have your op today passwords?
I ordered .
