Has anyone stayed at the hotels at Nice airport?

Am planning a few days in south of France, taking train to nice, antibes, Monaco. Is it mad to stay at the airport? The hotels look decent and it seems theres trains nearby that go to these places. Flying from Manchester.
Are there any disadvantages of staying at the airport?
Ive never been before.

I think the main disadvantage is that they're not set up for people to stay more than a day or two so they may feel a bit claustrophobic after a few days. When we stay away in the summer, we spend all our downtime so early morning and before and after dinner, on the balcony, which I presume you wouldn't be able to do in an airport hotel.

You might also have limited amenities in walking distance, which is also a big part of a holiday. Food and drink options might also be limited/expensive.

But if you're flying in and then visiting the places you mention, I can see the appeal because presumably the transport connections will be good.

If you’re flying into Nice I would take the very short bus ride into the centre (beautiful journey along the Rue des Anglais!), and stay in a hotel there.

I know that the railway station is the other side of the city to the airport so it would be easier to get there from the centre rather than an airport hotel anyway.

The trains are amazing, or at least they were a few years ago, we went to Antibes from Nice by train. The Picasso Museum in Antibes is extraordinary.

You can take the tram from T1 direct to Nice Ville - airport hotels are going to be busy small and possibly noisy - go and stay somewhere lovely instead - I’m just back from Cagnes Sur Mer which was glorious quiet and eight mins from airport

Can I ask where you stayed?
