Should elderly rock stars face prosecution over underage relationships?

Does anyone else think it’s outrageous that some elderly rock stars have gone under the radar with their abusive relationships with their 13/14 year old “groupies “
Surely they should have been charged
Im specifically looking at Bill Wyman , Jimmy Page etc
Its complete double standards that others have been brought to justice but these vile men have got off scott free - some have died obviously!

Yes some are deceased eg Bowie, but I agree any living should be investigated.

Being either elderly or a rock star is irrelevant, surely?

Anyone who commits child sexual abuse should not be allowed to get away with it. Not much point in prosecuting the dead, though.

A victim is no less worthy because their assailant isn’t a celebrity. No one is pushing to investigate the non-flashy cases though.

Proving sexual abuse from 50
years ago is difficult. I would rather resources went towards more recent cases with better chances of conviction.

I’d love the men to be investigated and also some of the enabler managers, parents and record executives.

Every case is worthy but these men were in plain sight
Why are they treated differently from other offenders - it’s almost like they are untouchable

Why isn’t there a big press campaign against Bill Wyman and friends - is it because the Rolling Stones are “cool “ ? They should all be called to account surely? they basically acted like grooming gangs

You need someone to complain. There was no shortage of willing young women if the stories are true. Page said the offers in Chicago alone would fill his bed for a fortnight. Gene Simmons of Kiss has/had a series of photograph albums filled with 'self portraits' of women who sent them to him with the city they would be available in. But every famous/not so famous band has their followers. Those were different times. No sm, internet, camera phones.
Mandy Smiths mother took her (13 years old daughter) around night clubs. Thats how they met Wyman. No one wants to hear about The Beatles in Hamburg. The Eagles had their 3rd Encore where selected members of the audience were invited to the hotel. But someone has to say I was treated badly, trafficked, forced into it. The film Almost Famous is a semi biography of those times.
