Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just finished my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, snuggled with boy cat (he's very much a phones down snuggler & will knock them out of hands so he has all your attention 🤣). I'll get up and make a coffee in a minute.

The girls, and girl cat, are still in bed. Dd2 might be up but I doubt it - there was still movement and chatter in their room at 4am when I went to the loo! I imagine they'll lie in for the rest of the morning then have a very slow day.

I've already had a tidy in the kitchen, put the washer on & put a few things to soak before washing them. I'll wash while the kettle boils.

I'm planning a nice steady day today after going out with dd1 yesterday - we sat in the pub for longer than I'd planned then came home for another one before I went to bed 🙈.

I'm going to get in the garden & carry on my mission against the bindweed, and probably cut back any new growth on the brambles again! Once that's done, I want to continue my new crochet project & measure a piece of wood to block a hole in the kitchen. Oh, and I have a Vinted parcel to send - must remember that!

I'll make some pizza dough for this evening & that's it apart from pottering at whatever takes my fancy!

Morning! Haven’t had much sleep or downtime lately with uni daughter home, but she’s on holiday so I have made the most of a big lie in. Am now reading with a cuppa in the garden (before next door ruins it). Have some new crafts to start later.

Morning all. I’ve been up since 8 and have finished the book I was reading.

Had shower and have also hosed down DDog.

DH and DD are off into town for brunch. Im
going out a bit later to meet up with some old work colleagues for lunch a couple of towns over. Really looking forward to it as they are properly nice people.

No other plans as I’m not sure what time I’ll be back.

We were out for dinner with friends last night and I was hoping for a bit of a lie in but woke up about 7.30 with no chance of falling back to sleep. Had some rice cakes with jam and a coffee and scrolled for a bit, then decided to take myself out for my run today instead of waiting until tomorrow.

Just recovering and then need to shower and get ready for the day. DP still snoozing but I’ll wake him up in a moment. We’ve got a homey day planned of sorting and clearing out before three holidays/mini breaks over the next 6 weeks - need to get the house in order now to try and avoid chaos later in the month!

Then hopefully a lovely quiet evening, maybe open some wine and put on a film.

good morning. I had a lie in woke at 9:50 usually am wide awake by 7 so must of needed it! My 3 children are still fast asleep, my husband has gone to training he plays cricket. At 12 we’re going to the club to watch the 1st team play my youngest loves it too so she will join us and my middle dd will meet her friends there and possibly go up town shopping. Then I’m not sure what we will do for tea, maybe Chinese

I had a really bad night, awake between just before 2 am to after 6 am, so I'm tired!

Today we are celebrating my son-out-law's birthday by hosting his birthday tea. I have put the marinaded pork (for sugared pork) in the slow cooker and cleaned the family bathroom. We cleaned the conservatory dining room yesterday and I laid the table, as well as making and decorating the cake. Mr Dilemma has taken a Vinted parcel of mine down to the local shop to send.

I'm just about to clean the downstairs bathroom, then I will wrap some flapjacks (made by me this time) and put some out for our delivery people. After that I will make the coleslaw and tomato salad before cleaning the kitchen. Mr Dilemma will hoover and sweep all the floors and tidy up in the sitting room and hall. I will polish the glass coffee table and do anything he has missed.

After lunch I will have a nap, and when I get up I will finish off the pork, make the leafy salad, put the potato wedges, and garlic bread in to cook, while Mr Dilemma goes to pick everyone up.

So - just in case you hadn't guessed - tonight we are eating sugared pork, potato wedges, garlic bread, home made coleslaw, tomato salad, lettucy salad and charred corn. Followed by coffee cake.

I was up late last night (actually the early hours of this morning) finishing some work and then had to get up earlier than plannned as my Dad popped round to tell me he was going out for the day(!) so a lazy day planned. I'd been considering buying a painting I'd seen in a local gallery but I wasn't 100% sure and have decided to get some materials and try creating something myself.

I've been to the local shop for a couple of bits as I've got a new fruitcake recipe I want to try and also need to psyche myself up to clearing the spare room for DD popping home next weekend...

Good afternoon lucysmam and others. I was up early and twiddled away the hours on social media. I had 2 coffees, a cup of tea and 2 slices of toast, then did some desultory tidying before heading out to meet my friend for second breakfast. I bumped into dd, dsil and the boys who were also out for breakfast. Im not long home and I'm having a lie down while the washing machine is on. Then I will empty and load the dishwasher and do some housework. Enjoy your day all.

Good afternoon. Had a nice lay in this morning after a busy week and got some cleaning done. Took a dog walk with my friend then popped to Tesco - hate that job!

back home and got some washing on and sitting in the garden. Might pop to our gym spa mid afternoon with DP for a sauna, ice plunge and jacuzzi. You can order drinks there so might get something to the sun lounger.

Also might go to the nearby social club with friends this evening for a couple of drinks and to play a game of pool.

Had a fair few things I needed to do today but unfortunately am unwell so currently having a rest in bed whilst my DD is out with DH god knows where I've just been told "out" so I'm nervous what she is making him buy her 😆

I rescued a peacock butterfly from a spider's web in the garden.

currently having a rare coffee and chilling on the sofa after walking to the shops for a few bits of fruit and veg - a nice quiet sort of day with a very short to do list

Im repacking my garden shed. Had a brand new one built yesterday, and who knew you would get excited about a shed (must get out more!!) Anyway, the builders were such lovely men and were super quick and helpful. Im just stacking pots and tools. What fun!

Hello. Just finished brunch or I guess lunch - Caesar salad and ham roll. Had a facial earlier but you know I was talking so much I wasn’t really relaxing! I felt it was over so quickly.
Now im going to crochet and listen to something on YouTube. Dinner tonight is chicken and veg with cous cous. Last weekend on my own before DD comes back from Columbia! 7am pick up next Saturday from Heathrow.

Afternoon all, was out this morning for a haircut. Popped to greggs on the way home for sausage rolls, just had them with beans for lunch.
Need to hang the washing out and then I'm going to do some weeding and pick some strawberries and courgettes.
No plans for tea yet, maybe Greek Lamb Stew, all depends on what DS is doing.
Its a beautiful day here, sunny, mid 20s with a lovely breeze. Enjoy your Saturday

Afternoon :) I’ve done the first coat of paint on our bedroom feature wall that I’ve been putting off for weeks, all ready to go and realised we didn’t have a roller tray in the house so I’ve arduously been putting paint on the roller with a brush, which has taken forever! Relaxing now while coat 1 dries and then I’ll do coat 2, thankfully this time with a new tray! Cursing myself for choosing today to finally get on with it as it’s 29 degrees here. Still at least it should dry so we can put the room back together before bedtime! 2 loads of washing done and out in between while DH has entertained the toddler at a trampoline park, another unwise choice in today’s weather! I think they’re off to the beach to cool off after naps (all round).

Evening All

Ive has a busy day. Spent hours in town with both children getting last minute school clothes ect. Scotland here so back in just over a week as am I.
We had breakfast in town which was nice.

Rest of the day has been dog walks and tidying. DH and DD at shops just now for something for tea. I plan to either watch a film tonight which is rare for me or get back into my new book. Really on a reading run just now.
