Fed up with ongoing thyroid symptoms, stomach pain and daily headaches

I wouldn't say I have health anxiety , however , my health has not been very good recently. I have thyroid issues which is being dealt with by my doctor and having tests for an overactive thyroid which causes palpitations and shortness of breath, which aren't very serious, so I've had an e.C g and i'm having a scan and other things

Then add a night, I developed severe gut pain. It went on for over an hour, but then it stopped. So I didn't have to go to hospital but ever since i've had a slight stomache , which i'm taking over the counter medicine for. I'm also getting daily headaches , which i'm taking penkillers for usually happens upon waking.

I am so fed up with all of this and in the grand scheme of things. I am not that bad because I've had a friend with cancer who passed away. So I am not really suffering badly, but I'm just so fed up and I want to feel normal again, any ideas.

Taking pain medication every day can result in medication overuse headaches, it can also cause abdominal pain, nausea and upset. Some are worse than other for this though, so what are you taking?

When did you last have your sight checked, and have you had a BP check recently? Eye strain and high bp can cause headaches. I hope you find a cause & solution & the misery soon ends for you Flowers

My blood pressure is checked regularly, and it has never been high. And only once has it been low, it's always been spot on and I get my eyes checked once a year.

I think overactive thyroid can cause headaches and generally feeling rubbish. It can cause stomach issues too, so it may all be related. Have you started any meds for it?

Yes taking thyroxine. Been on it for a few years because I had underactive abd now its overactive. They are trying different doses. I do feel a bit better but my symptoms come and go and im having some other tests if my stomach ache is thyroid related, it's just another thing to add to the list kf other symptoms
