I prefer pancakes to American pancakes as I think they have more flavour from the way they are cooked

I prefer lidl 80% chocolate to cadbury chocolate

This is quite interesting OP.

I grew up in the North of England. We had traditional pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. The rest of the year as treats we would make Drop Scones, otherwise known as Scotch pancakes, served with butter on them.

As far as I know I've never had an American pancake. But having googled them I see they are very similar to Scotch pancakes. In fact it's quite surprising the different varieties of pancakes that there are.

My kids think I quite like or at least prefer dark chocolate... I don't prefer dark chocolate at all & sometimes I actively dislike it, lol.

What us the difference between a drop scone and American pancake? ive looked at the recipe and they appear the same?

I think the recipes are virtually the same. But the battery for Drop scones is thicker as opposed to the more liquid batter used for the American ones. So the Drop scone is more solid
Also Drop scones are much smaller in diameter.
