Struggling to find a driving instructor

The ones recommended to me have not replied so I tried a few others, no reply. Do I just need to time it with a current student taking a test so creating availability? Do most run waitlists? Is this a local issue? I just want to learn to drive and been waiting months and months! I'm aware of waits for a driving test but I can't even get a lesson.

Not a problem in my area but there is an issue nation wide, there is a shortage of instructors and they are waiting a year to take their advance driving tests which is not helping the problem.

Have you tried the big companies like Red?

No driving instructors are taking pupils on here and they’ve all closed their wait lists.
