You’re on your work friend’s hen. Turns out her cousin/auntie/pal from uni is a celeb you’ve always liked and thought would be good value on a night out. Who is it?

I’m going with Sharon Horgan. Partly influenced by her characters, admittedly, but she’d hopefully also lend me something cracking to wear.

Sorry to have angered and/or upset you. Nearly 300 other posters have found it an interesting enough question to offer their (hypothetical) answer.

I thought it was clear from the OP that it was a hypothetical 😂and a fun question

Vogue Williams is known in Ireland for being a whopping cunt.

Sad to hear that but I’d believe it. She sounds really fun but does give off cunty vibes.

Debbie Harry or perhaps Joan Collins!

At least you'd get an early night after lots of great stories.
Probably HBCarter too. But saying that she'd have to be self aware enough to know she wasnt the star of the evening but famous enough for us to get into somewhere swanky (and have the bar bill comped)

The Princess of Wales, Zara Tindall or Sir Stephen Fry, in drag as Lady Bracknell.

Judi Dench. Helen Mirren. Controversial but Margaret Thatcher, not a laugh but what an interesting conversation,. Queen Victoria, ditto.

HonestLimeRaven · 07/08/2026 15:05

Joanne McNally

Debbie Harry is a genuinely unpleasant person.

Is she ?
I’ve always liked her , what did she do ?

notantordec · 07/08/2026 16:36

I’m having Vogue Williams, Joanne McNally and Rosie Ramsay

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 07/08/2026 19:46

I think everyone on this thread should come! Pre-drinks round at my place.

AlwaysExtraHot · 08/08/2026 17:59

Fatiha El-Ghorri. What a hoot she'd be. Also, she and I are both non-drinkers, so I wouldn't feel like the weirdo.

InterestedDad37 · 08/08/2026 18:16

Jessie Buckley 🥰
Mind you, I was very surprised to be invited to the hen do 🤔

MummyWillow1 · 08/08/2026 18:28

I work with Scarlett Moffatt’s cousin 🤣

Notateacheranymore · 08/08/2026 18:28

Olivia Colman. Based on some of the roles that she has taken on, and the quips that slip out sometimes, it’d be a grand old time.

And also Brenda Blethyn.

DJKATIE · 08/08/2026 19:15

Can't belive how many names are on here I have never heard of including the posters. Sharon hogan ( who) lol

Dappy777 · 08/08/2026 19:21

Blarn · 05/08/2026 20:02

Joanna Lumley.

Yes!!👍 Or maybe Sara Pascoe. Oh, or Natalie Haynes. I also like Lucy Porter.

Of course, the dream would be for her uncle to tag along and it turns out to be Stephen Fry!

Another uncle choice would be Christopher Biggins (or Brian Blessed).
