New Years Eve in Edinburgh

Has anyone any tips for spending New Year’s Eve in Edinburgh?
It will be four people travelling from London, staying for 4/5 days.
Do we need to book tickets for New Year’s Eve festivities?
All tips gratefully received!

Yes you'll need tickets if you want to go to the hogmanay street party. Have you looked to see if accommodation is available for the dates you want as it's very busy at that time of year.

Tip - don’t call it NYE. It’s Hogmanay.
