Exercising during hot weather and heatwaves.

I usually do a daily brisk walk of around an hour but finding it really difficult in this hot weather. Then when it cools down, it’s too dark to walk alone.

Is a tread mill/gym the only answer?

Where do you walk? Is it rural?

I can either walk rurally or more towny, I’m at the edge of a town prefer the rural walking but depends on how long I want to walk for. If I want to do a long one I’ll go rural, if I just want an hour or less ill go towny as there’s a handy circular route I can do.

and same as @NineFour - I’m not changing my behaviour from fear. I live in a town with a very high crime rate per resident (these are mostly related to drugs), I just walk. Never show fear and crack on with my life. Exercise is important to me.

Edited

I’m normally fine with solo walks and have done for years during the day. It’s not great at night though as there aren’t any paths on my usual routes and no street lights.
