My workplace messed up with my pension, what are my options?

My workplace randomly increased my contribution from 5% to 8%.

they still haven’t told me if I can get refunded or what are my options, so I’m asking the wise Mumsnet community for advice

I have no idea how or why it happened. We don’t have a UK HR team, and payroll is managed in the Philippines.

Is this the first month this has happened?

Yes, but they’re not very reliable. They didn’t transfer my previous contributions to the pension provider for months (until I noticed!)
