Jimmy cricket has died aged 80

Another childhood tv personality gone. saw him many years ago in pantomime

A lovely man, by all accounts. Used to enjoy watching him as a child, proper family entertainment with no edge or creepiness (quite rare in the 70s and 80s!).
Beautiful piece written about him by his family ending with Jimmy was a man of great faith and a Papal Knight of the Catholic Church. He believed that death is not the end and was looking forward to eternity, so really…And there’s more.
His son is a priest in the diocese of Salford.

RIP Jimmy.

Really didn't like his act even as a child.
Wouldn't wish the man dead though.
