What gets on your nerves

I think it's tge lack of originality that bugs me

Holibobs
'My world' usually a selfie with kids, whilst usually yelling at them IRL and offloading them at every opportunity.
'Sleeps till ' Christmas etc..it's nights until, grow up..
Heavenly birthdays..20 years plus later..

BakewellGin1 · 06/08/2026 21:37

I have so many !!

Fit check being the most recent
Making memories
We are pregnant
My world
Gawjus
Famalam
Mama Bear
Furbaby
Rest in Paradise
Fly High with the Angels (particularly as everyone round here seems to spell it as Angle !!
Rainbow Bridge
Hubby
Holibobs
Obsessed with
Blessed with
My Love
My number one bestie (particularly when said person has two children not one)

Endless memes about women doing it for themselves... then get back together and they are the love of my life !!

They lit up every room (when someone has passed - surely not everyone lights up every room and some people do not.
When I die I want an honest portrayal.

JesseDavisGonnaHangOnInThereNSoul · 06/08/2026 21:42

@BakewellGin1 fit check?
Flying high with the angles made me laugh.

Dunnow1 · 06/08/2026 21:42

Intentional has become a popular word on instagram that really irritates me, wearing something in an intentional way, ffs!
Making memories I hate, memories just happen and you remember the weirdest things and maybe the things that went wrong rather than the ‘perfect’ days.

familyissues12345 · 06/08/2026 21:44

The thing that really makes me cringe is “going on a date with this one”etc and it’s a photo of their child

Oh me🤮

EllaPaella · 06/08/2026 21:51

at the moment it’s all ‘Isn’t it Chic to… XYZ’ makes me cringe

WellThatIsABitMad · 06/08/2026 22:23

“Delete if not aloud” when asking who can recommend a local Botox/brows/nail person.

”beautiful inside and out” when writing an overly gushing birthday post for a friend.

”He’s my rock” 🤮

Ruthietuthie · 06/08/2026 22:28

"Smashed it!" - for any minor achievement of a child.
"Well done, Lucy, on getting your 10 metres swimming badge, you smashed it!"
Photo of child who get 3 6s at GCSE, "Guess who smashed it?"

Justonegirl · 06/08/2026 22:29

I'm getting fed up of "content creators" targeting "midlife women" and telling us this is "our time."

Ruthietuthie · 06/08/2026 22:30

"This is 10" - for a child's birthday. With MANY photographs of the child over the years.
(Always for a particularly soft child who is well behind his peers in interests... No, Sue, for most people "this" would be 7, but I am sure Arlo will mature in time...)

This is 47, followed by indulgent photographs of self.

Ohreallyreally23 · 06/08/2026 22:35

"Chapter 40 begins" for a 40th birthday. Nope. You've just completed chapter 40, you're onto 41 now!

ILoveCakeCrispsandChocolate · 06/08/2026 22:41

When someone says they feel a type of way about something. How do you feel you have not actually said!

Mellowautumnmists · 06/08/2026 22:41

I wonder how it all started. I mean, who was the first to post, say, “it’s giving…”, or “#making memories”, only for everyone else to just copy it. As a pp said, there’s no originality. The world’s gone mad!

Bangerang · 06/08/2026 22:43

" I love you all the world" (nope, that doesn't make sense)
"Fly high" (usually with angles)

coolcahuna · 06/08/2026 22:49

So many...

It's giving
I did a thing
The husband
The boy
Holibobs
Hubby
My ride or dies

The list goes on

CharlotteStreetW1 · 06/08/2026 22:51

"One proud mummy"

"Love you to the moon and back"

Endless grief.

StillCreatingAName · 06/08/2026 22:52

“You have to go here” followed by a pan around a beach/ v.famous and obvious tourist place/ a food truck with £15 sandwiches as their USP

coolcahuna · 06/08/2026 22:52

My why
My world
This one

coolcahuna · 06/08/2026 22:54

Pearofplums · 06/08/2026 22:55

Pearofplums · 06/08/2026 22:56

Yes, the word REASON exists.

Harsh but funny 😁

Spidey66 · 06/08/2026 23:04

I must admit I’ve checked in at the hospital but with something like ‘come off the bike and broken my arm’. If it was something embarrassing I just wouldn’t post it!!!
