Costa Adeje, Tenerife - which hotel?

Looks like we can get a lastminute holiday this August in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.
Any experiences there?

We had a really lovely stay here last winter - Melia, if it’s just adults going

The Iberostar hotels are very nice.

i would recommend going to the el duque end of adeje …. much nicer vibe

We've booked half board at Colon Guanahani for February next year. I did a lot of research and it gets great reviews and is in a good location. Adults only if that's what you're after.

Bahia del Duque is lovely, went there last year.

Iberostar bouganville playa of GF Gran Costa both excellent.

If looking on a slightly lower budget then either of the other GF hotels, Fanabe and Isabel both also great.

Depends on your budget - Tivoli La Caleta is stunning and top class.

It's the resort itself I'm interested in and what's there to do outside of the hotel complex x

Loved our hotel! Plantacion Seleccion.
It may be a bit quiet for some but I loved it!
Fantastic buffet breakfast & dinner.
No "bang bang thump" music.
Tranquil & an easy 20 minute walk to lively resorts.
A second honeymoon for my husband and I!
August and loads of space around the pool, people go to the beach.
Absolutely want to go back in January when its dark in the UK!

Forgot to add: Clarins Toileteries (shower gel, body lotion) in dispenser in bathroom.
Massive bathrooms, with door to toilet & shower.
Separate massive bath.

Beautiful indoor/outdoor restaurant.
Loads of seating.
Take me back!!

It is cold in January... Can be extremely windy too and the pools very cold

We did a week in Lanzarote the other January and it was far from cold! Low 20s, lovely sunshine.

I wouldn’t call it cold!!!

can occasionally get down to 15°c during the day but generally 18-20°c as a minimum.

Yes Tenerife is windy but that’s year round!

And pools will be cooler or feel cooler but you can swim all year round - but I’d have a poncho towel for when you get out to keep your shoulders warm which makes you feel warmer.

It’s certainly a different experience - don’t expect the same
sitting by a pool all day that you would get in August but there’s so much other stuff to visit - such as Loro Parque and up to Teide which can be snow capped in winter!

We’ve spent new year in Tenerife and it certainly wasn’t cold! It’s a fabulous break from the UK winter and darkness.
