Can children sit in extra leg room seats on flights?

Looking to book flights with extra leg room seats but we’re travelling with my two children, age 11 and 8. Does anyone know if there’s a way children can use these seats so we can sit together? It looks like they’re all near emergency exits and therefore not suitable for them. Husband is very tall but we would really like to all sit together! Any tips? 5 of us travelling in total, 3 adults, 2 children, usually fly with easyJet.

No I don't think they can.

On a normal flight, they’re usually exit rows so children can’t sit there because you need to be able to operate the door in the event of a crash.

No, a child cannot sit in an emergency exit seat.
My XH was very tall, he always fucked us off when we flew and sat in an extra legroom seat, left me to deal with both kids by myself but at least he was comfy 🙄

My ex husband tried to do that to me but as I was the one doing the flight booking I just lied and said they were all taken lol.

My 13 year old was allowed in extra legroom but I doubt the 8 year old would be. They have to be able bodied and capable. The emergency exit seats are over 16 only definitely

Chidren can't sit next to the emergency exits, neither can disabled people for safety reasons

Just book the front/bulkhead extra legroom seats, we do that if we want them.

Tall adult in extra-leg room seats
the family behind, and if needed one across the aisle so you are still together and everybody is happy.

We might book two extra leg room, then three behind for the children +1 adult and rotate adults to give us all some time with extra space!

Why not leave the extra leg room seats for people who need extra legroom? Just a thought!
