Thankfully I found it after 20 minutes trying to call the number on the back of my debut card. In that 20 minutes I didn't speak to a human at all. It was an automated service which kept telling me to cancel my DD on the website. But I didn't want to do that. I kept saying cancel my card and it didn't understand me and said I had to call back during business hours.

It was MEGA frustrating. I dont think I would have been able to cancel my card with the automated service. I thought i lost it in a service station and I couldn't cancel my debut card by phoning the customer service number on the back of my card.
I asked to speak to a human. It didn't let me.

Im with the nationwide.
I have no laptop or means to go online, I only have my mobile phone, I couldn't do anything online, I needed the customer service helpline to help me and it didn't.

Has anyone else had this?

No not had this

But what you're telling us is that the phone number to report a stolen card or a lost card is just some automated rubbish now that's terrible

I would've thought a lot of people might not be able to get online in that situation I don't know maybe I'm old-fashioned

You don't need to cancel your debit card if you've lost your phone. You need to log yourself out of your phone remotely so other people can't use your Apple/Google wallet, which they shouldn't be able to do anyway, because of the pin or face/fingerprint recognition.

Do you have a partner, family member or friend who's phone you could use to do this?

Oh no I thought the card had been lost and I just realised I did not read the OP properly

Sorry that was stupid to me

I wouldn't have My phone and card linked anyway, so I wouldn't know what to do

Hopefully it will give this thread a bump for others who know
