Does price really matter? The branded stuff was 10.99 compared to £3 for Aldo own brand

its it really much better?

No its not, imo. I use lidl bio gel. It smells nice and gets the washing clean. I also use Fairy powder on some things. Same.

as far as im aware when i did some research the core ingreadients are the same for fancy brands and normal cheap version, and aparently sometimes the high costs of fancy brands helps subsidse the cheap brands , obviously if they are with the same company.

overall its pritty much all the same, ive switched to tescos basics at the moment

from google : Expensive versions often add a tiny amount of a special active ingredient or nicer scent to justify the shift in price

I can’t buy the nice smelling ones because of allergies
I go for non bio ones , own brand , that doesn’t smell and surcare fabric conditioner as that hasn’t any perfume added at all.
The box is about a fiver I think for 24 tablets

I buy Method and Waitrose own brand. Both have fragrances I like and the clothes are clean. I can't see any difference in how clean the clothes are so happily switch between the two.

Some brands don't seem to set off allergies/reactions. Don't think it's psychological, before anyone says that, as I'm talking about kids who wouldn't even know their parents have bought different stuff.

I researched when I wanted to swap from liquid to powder a few years ago. The cheap Aldi one was a Which best buy and has been brilliant. And no gunk build up in the new machine.
You can usually get free access to Which at your library.

Waitrose own brand bio smells divine. DS told me bio is fine, just use less of it.

DH buys Fairy non-bio which is okay but doesn't smell as good and costs more.

I wish I could use fairy and so on, but I have too many allergies to smelly things like that.
its a pain and the tablets don’t get things as clean , but no smell.
