Glasses wearer and gym locker padlocks- what do I do?

I've finally joined a gym, but how will I use the locker for my bag as I can't read the numbers on the padlock without my glasses on. I only need the glasses for reading though, not in the gym. Anyone figured this out?

She uses two hands to make the little aperture but I can do it by just curling my forefinger. Use whichever eye is the better one and close the other eye.

Get a padlock with a key.

I just count the number of turns I do, usually on just one dial.

Fingerprint padlock sounds like a game changer for me!!!

I bought a padlock with a key and put the key on a wrist band that i always wore when swimming or working out. Really struggled with combination locks x

You could leave them at the reception desk or just take them into the gym with you and put them in the same safe place each time. Prescription glasses are not generally targeted by thieves.

In my gym I have seen ladies thread a cheap pair of reading glasses through their padlock so they can put them on and read the numbers when they get back to the changing rooms

Prescription goggles were a game changer for me in the pool. (Also meant if someone said ‘hello’ I wasn’t peering at their face from an inch away to work out who they were!).

buy cheap £1.79 glasses in savers - take them to the gym as it doens[t matter if you lose them.

I move the combination by 2 clicks one number and just learn the sequence, 2 cliks right to undo, 2 click left to lock.

I see people hook their glasses through the padlock and leave them there for when they come back too.

I also sometimes take my phone, glasses and water in a small pouch and hang it on the equipment or leave at side of machines.

before those I had to do backstroke so I could just follow the strip lighting in the ceiling and knew where I was going 🤣

What about buying some of those cheap magnifying spectacles that you can get from Boots to leave by the water cooler. Still, it is a PITA. I need reading glasses for close up to, to I get the problem.

Put your key onto your laces. This is what people do when they leave their house to go jogging.

Do you take your phone into the gym with you?

If so you can use either the zoom on your camera or a magnifying glass app to see the numbers. Or, depending on your eyesight, just the torch might do it; that is often enough for me.

If you take a water bottle, I keep the padlock key attached to an elastic hair bobble and put the bobble round the water bottle when on the gym floor.

Just make a pinhole with your thumb and look through that, fixes vision without glasses

I bought a lock with big numbers but will struggled. So I just used to move one number so I could then unlock it easier 😆

You can get tiny keyholders that attach to the laces of your trainers. Or just look through the camera of your phone, that’s what I have to do if I knock my glasses off the bedside table at night and can’t see them on the floor (but it’s distance not reading I have problems with)

I agree about prescription goggles being a game changer for swimming but again that’s distance not reading vision.
