We saw her live on Friday. She is an amazing performer, and she looks absolutely incredible. Blows my mind that she is pushing 80. Incredible genes undoubtedly, but wonder how else she keros her fitness and stamina up..?

I think she is just incredibly lucky

Cocaine. Lots and lots of cocaine. Allegedly.

She’s bonkers! Talented but bonkers lol …. I had no idea she was that old! It’s in the genes

I remember when she attacked Russel Harty (tv presenter) back in the 80's. Wasn't she in one of the bond films too

I'm envious. Slave to the Rhythm is one of my favourite songs. Though Trevor Horn had a lot to do with it, Miss Jones' singing made an equal contribution in terms of its greatness.

We saw her a couple of years ago, booked tickets on a night out with friends on a whim.

She came out on stage with a GOOD EVENING MANCHESTER!

(we weren't in Manchester)

so she went off and did the whole opening again. There were stagehands bringing her glasses of wine throughout the show. She was absolutely fantastic entertainment!

DaisyMayBojangles · 02/08/2026 14:14

Yes she kept calling for her wine! 😂.. she also commandeered a security guard to give her a lift on his shoulders so she could parade up and fown the front riw, greeting fans 😂. She’s nearly 6 foot of pure muscle.. poor guy!

She is amazing. I remember her hitting Russell harty that time. Made the headlines

baroqueandblue · 02/08/2026 15:04

I remember her belting poor Russell Harty and the tabloids finding it hilarious. But it was abuse. And he later died of AIDS, which makes that incident all the more poignant to me.

On the other hand, she made some great records in the 70s/80s and I have quite a few of her songs on playlists even now. Her cover of 'Private Life' by The Pretenders is as good as the original, and she did a great guest spot on that spin off album by some of the Duran Duran members. ('So Red the Rose' - Arcadia)
