Do you fold or scrunch toilet roll when wiping?

I read a study once that when it comes to toilet roll, men tend to fold theirs to wipe where women tend to scrunch.

So are you a folder or a scruncher, male or female?

Scrunch?! Like screw it up?! How on earth do people make sure there’s enough layers between fingers and bum to avoid a finger dip?

Never thought of this before but I guess I scrunch!

I use loads and scrunch. DH uses way less and folds. It’s not a concept I can consider… at all… ever!

In my childhood and adolescence i was never taught about hygiene and how to do basic self care things. So I was pretty ignorant about a lot of things and I used to scrunch the toilet paper- and use absolutely loads of it.
When i left home in my early twenties i educated myself on a lot of personal self care routines and I became a folder.

But as a support worker I’ve seen A LOT of people screw into a tiny ball and just dab at themselves.

And there’s a generation of older ladies whom however much toilet paper you give them will divide it into two piles, use one and put the other one back on the toilet roll holder.

We have a communal xylospongium (sponge on a stick). It worked for hundreds of years for the Romans so why change it now? (We do, of course, change the sponge when necessary.)

We have found that those sponge scourers to be particularly robust and long lasting.👍

Fold and I use Wype because if you use just dry paper, your arse is rank with dry shit 🤢
