and the teenager in me loved Guns and Roses version of Live and Let Die!

Valerie Amy Winehouse better than Zutons.

Sweet Jane by Cowboy Junkies.

Nazareth's cover of Joni Mitchell's "This Flight Tonight".

Oh people won't like me for this but it's Miley Cyrus' cover of Zombie for me.

I'm a massive Simon and Garfunkel fan......but Disturbed version of Sound of Silence has the hairs on my arms going up every single time!!!!

A good cover version should be a new & different take on a song, not just X factor style karaoke. That’s why Gun’s version of Word Up, complete with a screaming guitar solo, is even better than Cameo’s.

The french guys version of the 7 nation army song with the drums.

I wouldn't say I prefer it to the original but I like how the The Futureheads did something new with their cover of Hounds of Love.

I actually prefer the original by the Zutons, but I think Valerie by Mark Ronson/Amy Winehouse is quite often on best cover lists
