Stamplo Penpal scheme for children

Has anyone used Stamplo for their child to have a penpal?

Can anyone explain how it works please? Read you have to upload ID which I'm a bit wary about.

Has anyone used any other penpal schemes successfully for their child? Child is very keen but I'm a bit reluctant as when it's online, who knows who they could be corresponding with!

I'd not.

@Prangalang I wouldn't let a child correspond with an unknown person online.

Years ago, there was a handwritten letter exchange group called The I.Y.S International Youth Service based in Finland that used to match children to write to other children through school. I think the I.Y.S. may have ceased to exist - perhaps the school know of another?

If you area is 'twinned' with another town in a different country, I believe the school can arrange a letter exchange this way too.

Great way to promote writing, sending and receiving handwritten letters too. Much better than online.
