I used to organise and upload my photos to a hard drive regularly, but never printed them. I tried once (yonks ago) and the photos that looked good on my phone didn’t look good on the page, and all the decisions of what to include wore me out. I’m sure phone camera and print quality are much better these days

Since phone storage increased, I haven’t even uploaded to my computer and I’m drowning in unorganised memories! I’m terrified I’m going to lose them all through a hardware failure or phone theft. I’ve bought cloud storage and backed it all up but now I really want to print them out to, you know, actually look at them!!

Can anyone recommend a good quality photo/photo book printer currently? I don’t mind paying for real quality, so I’m not just looking for the cheapest option.

This is going to be a pretty incredible project for me and I’m truly daunted by it. Any tips gratefully received!

Piggybacking backing onto OP's question to say I also have this dilemma so am very interested in any advice or suggestions.

Apologies OP that I don't have an answer for you 📸

I use Photobox. I do a calendar and photobook for each year. It’s not the best quality available on the market but perfectly good enough for a family album.

once you have ordered from them once you get really good offers and never have to pay full price.

Been there! Before you even get to printing, it might help to get everything properly organised first — I started using an app (Fotoback) that auto-sorts phone photos into a timeline and flags the best/most meaningful ones, which made picking what to include in a photo book way less overwhelming. Once you've got a shortlist instead of a dumping ground, printing gets a lot less daunting. For the actual printing, Photobox worked well for me too.
