Feeling isolated on maternity leave after being excluded by old friends

Just really looking for some advice or something to just make me feel like I’m not all alone in this…

I always had the same group of friends through school recently for no reason known to me one of them decided to just ignore and exclude me over time which has been pretty hurtful to say the least. I’ve now had my second child and I am currently on maternity leave and it’s feels so bloody lonely, the loneliness’s consumes my day. My previously maternity leave I had my friends, social plans etc and now nothing. It’s really been affecting my mental health and I just don’t know what to do, due to this persons actions I do not want to reach out them, if they’ve felt it’s fine to treat me like this then of course I no longer wish for them to be in my life. I want to make new friends im a social person and enjoy most things in life, but it seams hard when I feel everyone in their 30’s has their ‘tribe’. I suppose I’m just wondering if anyone else has ever felt like this and if anyone has ever made new friends later in life or if this is just it for me 🥹.

i think I would reach out to your other friends and check in with them to see if they are okay and go from there, but I understand it’s hard to do. There might be a misunderstanding, I would also speak to your HV and explain that your lonely and its effecting you MH, hopefully she can direct you to some baby groups. Which is a nice way to make new friends, it’s not nice to be sad and lonely, but reach for help.
