What small things do your partners do that you appreciate most?

My husband is great in all the big and meaningful ways but I find it’s really small things that I appreciate the most. I noticed yesterday morning that the toothpaste had almost run out and made a mental note to buy some but was then in meetings all day and forgot. I went to brush my teeth last night and there was a new toothpaste. It’s the same with shower gel etc. I don’t know why I’m so impressed by it 😂 it’s just the not having to think I guess, not having to be the only one responsible for the little things that keep a household running. What little things do your partners do than you are excessively grateful for?

He's always up before me so I almost never make my own morning coffee.

Due to him working weird shifts (weekends/late nights etc) he does the majority of lunch making and dinner cooking.

My absolute favourite thing though is the way he chats to the cats and cuddles/squishes them when he doesn't know can hear him 😻😻.

So many things he does that I don’t have to think about out which really takes the mental and physical load off

we both work opposite hours full time and I run a full time business.

we have teens and adult dc and a grandchild and he’s just brilliant and thinking ahead.

for me personally he always folds my pjs and puts them under my pillow.
as we work opposite hours I go upto bed and he’s normally got my pillows how I like them,turned my side light on and put the fan on ready as I’m peri and melting 🫠

he always tidies my dressing table cause he knows I like it organised but my mornings are so busy I rarely have time to do it.

he tops up my make up remover wipes on my dressing table,he sorts my meds and puts them in my pill sorter for me sometimes.

little treats appear in the cupboard for me.

I get in from work and the house has been hoovered bathroom cleaned kitchen cleaned dogs fed cushion covers in washing machine etc.

it’s about doing his share as another grown adult in the house but he also does lots of little things just for me

been married a long time and I love him more every day.

he’s a beautiful human being.

Makes me a cup of tea every single morning before work. He’s a lark, I’m an owl so anything that needs to be done early in the morning he just deals with.

DH has brought me tea in bed every morning for 20 years. On the odd occasion that he is away I text him to complain about my thirst.
