Daily peak flow reading of 300 at 5 ft 6

Been told to do a daily peak flow metre test. My reading was 300. I think you have to take into account your height and weight. Im 5 ft 6 and stone

I'm 5ft 6 and mine is 600. If I'm bad it drops to 500.

Is there a question?

I'm 5ft9 on a really good day can hit 800 but on a bad day it can be below 350.

I believe it's not just your height though, weight also plays a part as does fitness.

Apparently from my age and height and being female , I should be aiming for a score of 400

Ive been taking my peak flow for 40yrs so I know my numbers. You'll get the hang of it.

For me the key thing is know at what point to see GP for steroids which happens every few years, usually after a bacterial chest infection (not upper respitory tract infections which are viral).

So get to know the numbers. Don't obsess though. I drop 50pts over night and before lunch and early evening. Normal for me.

My DH is 51 and is 5ft 10 he’s had asthma all his life. On a good day his peak flow is 480, on bad days 350. I’m pretty sure his shoulder be much higher.

I have not got asthma or copd and have never taken steroids. The only reason I am doing this peak flow is because I have thyroid issues which need to be sorted and one of the side effects of the thyroid issue is shortness of this. That's the only reason I'm doing this.

My score is improving. I got up to 400 this morning
