My mum has paypal to buy stuff from ebay, she has quite a bit of credit so sometimes lets me order stuff and I pay her back monthly, It was my last payment tomorrow and I would be paid up.
This morning I tried to send her the £80 like I always do and my hsbc app told me it had failed and to try again, so, I tried to send it again, this time the app said BOTH 'thank you for your payment' then underneath that 'there has been an unexpected issue'
I checked my balance and to me it looked like nothing had gone out at all and nothing in pending. next thing my mum called me asking if I had paid her £160 and asking why I had paid her twice, then her app changed to show one payment going in and the second one being sent back to me.
to me it looks like I haven't paid anything, yet my mums balance has changed to now reflect £80 going in.
Is this something that will sort itself out, have i paid her or not?!
If my balance hasn't changed by morning i will call the bank but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
