Sorry, I know this is a bit of a ridiculous post but we’re down at the weekend from an area where the temps have been 25+ on and off for the past few weeks. BBC app is saying temps are 20c ish down there but I feel like I’ve forgotten what that actually feels like! Also is it colder with the breeze etc so does it feel more like 18? I’ve been sitting in my garden in a tshirt till 9ish most nights here!
Just a bit unsure whether we’ll need shorts etc or do I to pack loads of hoodies?!

It's around 22 here today with some cloud cover and a light breeze - unlike yesterday which was what they call a "fresh breeze" (aka couldn't eat outside as kept getting leaves in my food and my sweet peas got a right battering!). However we live at the top of a valley and always get the wind.

It's still short sleeve weather for me but trousers rather than a sundress and does feel a lot cooler than a couple of weeks ago. You may want a cardigan or a hoodie if you want to sit out late evening but lots of people still in shorts. It feels more like a "normal" summer IFSWIM but not much rain (which is what usually happens as soon as the schools break up).

Hope you have a nice holiday x

The south coast can be completely different from the north coast, so where about in Cornwall are you heading?

I’m on the south coast and it’s about 22, with a slight breeze. Definitely still t shirt and shorts weather until later in the evening.

We are due hotter temps again this week, so maybe pack 1 jumper/jeans and the rest shorts/t shirts.
I hope that helps, and have a fab time.

Thanks both - That’s reassuring! We’re heading to St Ives and for the first time ever when we’ve been on holiday, the weather is actually cooler down in Cornwall than up north - It’s weird but it now feels a bit odd here now when the temps dip to 21!
