Dd12 has had a difficult year 7. She's been friends from primary with 2 girls. 1 girl is quite dominant, the other girl 2 seemed a nice girl but apparently not as nice as she seems. Both girls have been targeting another girl- girl 3- all very low level. My daughter is friends with girl 3 from primary and and outside school activity. She's been the peacemaker/ drawn in at some points its been difficult. Now its summer shes decided she doesn't want to be friends with girl 1& 2. Shes withdrawn from the whats app groups etc.

The problem is girl 2s mum and I are best friends. We usually do alot together over summer, we have other children in classes together. She- my friend- seems oblivious to anything going on and wants to arrange a few outings over the summer but dd is reluctant. Im tempted to say nothing and go with my other kids, make an excuse for dd. Im not sure I want to get into anything with my friend if her dd hasn't said anything, also im aware she might have a totally different story to tell from her dd point of view. Or do I just say the girls seem to be finding there own friends and leave it at that?

Sit down with your friend and tell her what's going on then leave the girls to it.

Thanks, think its might. I just know she will speak to her dd and I dont want that to kick off any WhatsApp etc contact , nut not sure how to avoid it.
