Does son’s scab look infected?

Sorry this is in chat - I couldn’t find the right topic in the drop down(there are so many!).

Son fell and grazed his knee on. It doesn’t seem to be healing that well. The scab is still weeping. Does it look infected and what, if anything should I do with it? Or is it likely to just sort itself out?

Pic added but will need approval

You might need to try re-adding the pic @Pinksalamanda
Also, when did he scrape his knee??

The thing with scabs on joints is you are continuing to move them, and crack open and scab that forms. Id it red? Is the redness spreading? Is the area around hot?

It says the pic is currently under review. Might take longer than normal with it being Sunday.

sorry, somehow missed adding the actual day. He did it on Monday. It was quite a nasty graze so had it covered with a plaster during the day on Tuesday and Wednesday while he was at nursery but left to “air” it since then. Problem is he won’t leave it alone, even though it hurts. It is quite red around it, but being 3, hr spends a lot of time crawling around on the floor playing.

Does it feel hotter than his other knee? Put a hand on each at the same time to compare. That was a big clue when my knee graze got infected. Redness around it too, and feeling stiffer to move. you could tell by looking it had gone manky but worth catching it at an earlier stage if you can.
