I want to get organised for September and make some healthy breakfast, lunch and snack items for my kids that I can make ahead and freeze. Things like breakfast burritos, healthy muffins etc.
Things that they can grab and go or put in their lunch boxes.

Does anyone else do this and can you give me any ideas or links to recipes?

I make:-

scotch pancakes
fritatta
savoury muffins
quiches
make a load of cheese toasties up and freeze and then show them the air fryer - from frozen
flapjacks
cookies
banana loaf
marble cake
home made savoury pinwheels
get pizza dough made and frozen

then for main meals I make and freeze shepherds pie and lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise, tuna pasta bake

in also have things in the fridge for snacks all the time like carrots and cucumber sticks and hummus, cooked meats, yogurts and tonnes do fruit

I get most of my recipes from bbc good food website

I used to batch cook for grab and go when the children were at home, I did things like burritos (egg, cheese, spinach, peppers, turkey sausage or beans), egg muffins baked in a muffin tin, oat and banana muffins, apple and cinnamon breakfast muffins, oatmeal pancakes, they really liked wholemeal pittas with cheese/tomato toasted for breakfasts to take with them. I also used to do egg and sausage wholemeal muffins (they were a bit like the McDonald’s muffins but healthier) to take with them as they got older.

I still have the lists saved for week by week and monthly batch cooking/freezing for lunches, I’ll find it tomorrow and post it for you. You might find some things on it helpful.

Breakfast won’t work imo by the time it’s defrosted and reheated you could just do fresh. Mine have mostly Greek yoghurt and fruit or scrambled which take two minutes. Dinners I tend to double cook so freeze the second portions. Lunches in make a batch of flourless egg muffins at the weekend, they take those, yogurt, Pom bears, fruit. They also marmite and cream cheese wraps which take less than 30 seconds to make.
