Music streaming

I have frequently used YouTube to listen to music. I had a lot of things I searched for stored in ‘search’ so I could easily find them again, but it’s all disappeared and it’s asking me to sign in. So I think it’s time to use something easier. I don’t want to ‘buy’ on Apple Music any more, it’s more to listen to stuff from the 70/80’s occasionally. Usually songs I hear bits of on TikTok.
What would you suggest?

Nobody is going to give you a fully functional streaming service for nothing, the companies are in it to make a profit, some of which they pass on to the artists. Spotify with the ads is about the best you will get. Not all artists are available, some because they disagree with Spotify's other investments, some because they think the royalty rate is too low.

I didn’t say I wanted it to be free, I just don’t want to buy off Apple Music.

Then your other options are Spotify or Amazon Music. I don’t know if Spotify do a free or low cost subscription with ads anymore.

You can also use Deezer or Tidal, some music is on all platforms, some on one, some on none, some is available for a period then removed.

Why not just sign back in to YouTube?
