Daft washing up question

Jug had raw egg in it. It's been (rather sketchily) washed up and left to drain overnight with the rest of the washing up. Would you wash everything again or just the jug? There is clearly still egg on the jug.

Surely everything was washed in hot soapy water and then rinsed? Just re wash the jug. Are you suggesting that a drop of egg in the washing up bowl has somehow contaminated everything?

No, more from being on on the draining board with it as it clearly wasn't washed off. TBH, I've no idea if DS used hot water, 99.9% certain he used loads of washing up liquid!

I’d wash the jug and anything it was sitting on to drain as bits of egg slime will have dripped onto that.

I used to work in a kitchen so I couldn’t leave it, I’d have to wash everything. Food hygiene is serious business. The amount of washing up liquid and temperature of the water is unlikely to kill bacteria especially if some egg has been slowly sliming its way along the draining board past other items.

Having read the update, the question really is ‘should DS re-wash things’ given that he did half a job.
