Since there has been more publicity and social media posts around ADHD and its characteristics, I noticed a lot of the traits really resonate with me.
I've always ‘struggled’ in life with some things, but I am endlessly practical, calm, and clean and tidy where a lot of other people aren’t. Which sort of contradicts ADHD. I’ve found the things I do struggle with have been harder as I’ve got older, although I don’t tend to get as tearful as I used to.
I did an online test this morning, which isn’t an official diagnosis, but it came out as a Combined ADHD presentation. I’m not sure what to do with this info.
I worry about getting a proper diagnosis because where do you go with that? I’m not sure how friends and family would react if I announced I’ve got ADHD.
My eldest DS was diagnosed with it a few years ago, but doesn’t bring it up with anyone as he said he doesn’t need a label.
